The Catholic Trinity is my God, my love. I practice Catholicism as a way of living out my call to love and be loved. The study of yoga philosophy and practice is a tool that has supported, refocused, and helped me live out this duty, this joy. Many people have asked me how I practice Catholicism and Yoga, as in, “aren’t they mutually exclusive?” I’ve been thinking and praying about this for years.
With the encouragement of a dear friend, I’ve decided to dedicate a blog to explore that journey. It would take me years to write a scholarly treatise on the subject with family life being my main vocation. I’ve not the time for such ambitious endeavors! So, I will have to eek out thoughts, descriptions, and explanations here and there when time, energy, and inspiration allow. In that spirit, please accept my invitation to visit The Catholic Yogi now and again to see how things develop. May you be blessed for your interest and openness.
