Veterans Yoga: New Location and New Time

Greetings, Yoga Friends,

As part of their mission to serve the local community, Mind Body Align will host free yoga classes for veterans and their families at The Butterfly House beginning this Saturday, Nov. 5th, 11:30am – 12:30pm.

Veterans Yoga in Richland County was founded by Dale Warren as a way to support veterans and their family members.  Area teachers take turns leading free weekly classes.  My classes will focus on mindful breathing and moving, the relationship between the body and mind, and the ways in which a regular yoga practice can help relieve stress and introduce a sense of balance and ease in daily life, as well as in particularly stressful circumstances.  To find out more, please email questions to Dale at veteransyoga@aol.com and keep in touch with veterans yoga via facebook.

I am scheduled to lead yoga practice Saturdays,  Nov. 5th & 19th, 11:30am-12:30pm.

If you are a veteran or the family member of a veteran, please come and explore how yoga might be of benefit to you.  And please do spread the word about this great free service to all you know who will benefit from attending.

Select “Yoga Class Schedule” from the menu for full details about classes, locations, and parking.

Hope to see you in the studio!

Happy Practicing,

The Catholic Yogi

Yoga News

The first meeting of Power Yoga, Beginners and Beyond will meet this Saturday.  Each class is individualized and self-sustaining; however, subsequent classes will build on knowledge and experiences gained in the preceding classes.  It is a great experience to attend an entire session as one creates a foundation of experiential knowledge from which to question, experiment, and enjoy a personal yoga practice.

In addition, I am scheduled to teach two more free classes for the Yoga for Veterans group at the AmVets on 4th St. in Mansfield:  Nov. 5 and 19th.  Please spread the word about this wonderful gift to our military community and families.  Everyone with a connection to a military service member is encouraged to attend!

See below for more details, or click on Yoga Class Schedule to find the full list of offerings.

Happy Practicing!
