Learning the unseen

“My brothers, you will always have your trials but, when they come, try to treat them as a happy privilege; you understand that your faith is only put to the test to make you patient, but patience too is to have its practical results so that you will become fully-developed, complete, with nothing missing.” ~James 1:2-4

Learning the unseen

Learning the unseen
is scaling mountains

without ropes or harness.

Climbing toward love’s peak,
rocks clacking over rock,

I slip.

Peering skyward from the ground,
wondering what is beyond the clouds

my hands set back on the rock.

I love the metaphor of this! The scripture quote opens up the poem. My hands set back on rock is a great ending. I love the whole “learning the unseen” as that is what we are about here a lot! Thanks for the gift of your words…

Indeed, the poem wouldn’t work without the scripture quote. Thank you for your support!
