This fresh buckeye shines,
just cracked from its prickly shell.
You glow,
giddy with discovery
bouyant with purpose
knowing only this, now,
air, wind, leaves,
tricycle, sidewalk, pedals.
I watch the back of your hand
move sideways across your lips, your fingers wipe
the itch from your eyes, your lids blink and your nose wrinkles.
My prayer is for bouyancy,
for giddiness,
for light heart and easy spirit

Beautiful!
Thank you, Sasha!
This is so sweet and tender. Again, I love the details you focus on. The moment with a child brings the miraculous to our vision doesn’t it? I love the buckeye and the prickly shell. Wonderful texture! I can feel the back of his hand as well. So thankful for your wonderful walks with the little monks!!! Love and light abound dear friend!!
I appreciate your kind words so much, Cynthia! And I am thankful when God graces me with eyes that see… Love to you!
😉 I feel like I was on that walk with you. Love you Amykins.
I wish you were…! We’ll take one when you visit 🙂
