I just came across another passage on duty and happiness by Father Laurence of the Monks of New Skete based on Matthew 17:3. “Lord,” exclaimed Peter, “it is wonderful for us to be here!” All at once our spirituality seems simple and infinitely complex. Thank God for his gifts of wisdom and all the fruits of his Spirit.
