I have heard making pilgrimage to India,
to study asana, is like being broken-open.
The first month you are cracked;
the second you are rewired,
and the third you are pieced together new.
I have heard making pilgrimage to family,
to co-create human beings, is like being broken-open.
The first child opens you, raw;
the second rearranges your understanding;
the third confirms the mystery,
and the fourth pieces you together new.

I love this! The title is perfect. The comparison to the path of family/children to the path of the pilgrimage to study asana is wonderful. I love the “broken open, cracked and pieced together new.” I especially love “the second rearranges your understanding; the third confirms the mystery and the fourth pieces you together new.” Wonderful and so true of family life and having children! The four children/masters you grow by! Great poem here. I enjoyed immensely!!! Love, light and blessings on your pilgrimage to family and in family!!!
I appreciate your reading and kind comments, cynthia. And the same blessings to you, friend!
